Designed to provide an alternative to Aluminum Oxide Open Nylon Mesh. We have opened up the mesh to reduce loading and replaced Aluminum Oxide with Silicon Carbide. Silicon Carbide mesh is sharper and tends to cut faster and produce finer scratch patterns on most surfaces. Black Open Mesh can be used on a wide variety of surfaces and materials. These include ferrous and nonferrous metals, ceramics, plastics, fiberglass, plywood and others. Applications include deburring, cleaning, scouring, blending, polishing, deflashing plaster, dulling laminates, removing oxides and rust, scuffing plastic pipe prior to adhesion, etc. 100% waterproof.
